Rotational inertia of Smart Cart wheels and axles
What are the moments of inertia for the wheels and axles for the Smart Carts?
There are two different axles on the Smart Cart. One has the encoder and the other does not.
6.1 x 10-7 kg-m2, and 5.4 x 10-7 kg-m2 respectively. This calculation contains a couple of assumptions. Only the inner race of the ball bearing is included in the calculation and the rotational inertia of the balls is ignored.
