How do I prepare coin cell batteries for recycling?
Caution: Coin batteries can generate heat when shorted together. To prevent shorting, the following video shows a method to seal the terminals of the batteries prior to disposal. Note that batteries contain chemicals that, if released, may affect the environment and human health. Batteries should be collected separately for recycling and recycled at a local hazardous material disposal location adhering to your country and local government regulations.
