The Refracting Telescope
Students experiment to find out the combination of order of lenses that result in a telescope. They investigate the properties of the image produced by the objective and the eyepiece. They use what they learn to create a telescope and perform experiments to understand its properties. They calibrate the telescope with a meter stick allowing them to determine the size of distance objects.
