Rate of Photosynthesis of an Aquatic Plant (PASPORT sensors)
Use a PASPORT dissolved oxygen sensor and PASPORT fast response temperature sensor in a photosynthesis tank to understand the amount of oxygen produced through photosynthesis in an aquatic plant in ambient light, bright light and darkness. Note: This investigation has been updated for Wireless sensors in the Essential Biology lab manual (product number EB-6331)

Featured Equipment
Photosynthesis Tank
Designed to work with PASCO sensors, the Photosynthesis Tank is an ideal apparatus for studying photosynthesis and respiration in aquatic life.
PASPORT Optical Dissolved Oxygen Sensor
This sensor measures dissolved oxygen in mg/L or percent saturation, without requiring calibration or warm up time.
PASPORT Fast Response Temperature Probe (3 Pack)
Allows students to see instant changes in temperature in sensitive and fast-changing conditions. For use with temperature sensors and interface using 3.5-mm connectors.
Support
Many lab activities can be conducted with our Wireless, PASPORT, or even ScienceWorkshop sensors and equipment. For assistance with substituting compatible instruments, contact PASCO Technical Support. We're here to help.
