PASCO Founders, Paul and Shelley Stokstad, receive Resolution of Appreciation Award from Roseville, CA.

Last Friday, PASCO Founders, Paul and Shelley Stokstad, received the honor of a lifetime when the Mayor of Roseville stopped by the PASCO Picnic to present them with a Resolution of Appreciation Award.

As lifelong entrepreneurs, the Stokstads are best known for their role in shaping science education throughout PASCO’s more than fifty years as a business. But ask a local, and they’ll be sure to tell you that, for the Stokstads, business and philanthropy have always gone hand and hand.

Over the decades, Paul and Shelley have steadily contributed to the local community, donating thousands of dollars and volunteer hours to humanitarian causes close to home. In 2002, they founded the PASCO foundation, a small non-profit that is wholly funded and operated by PASCO employees. With every success PASCO had as a business, the foundation grew in stride. Today, the foundation supports roughly a dozen non-profits across the Sacramento Area – an achievement we couldn't wait to celebrate!

On Friday, PASCO celebrated with a picnic, inviting past colleagues and friends to take part in the fun. Members of the PASCO Team, both new and old, gathered together to share laughs, exchange stories, and reflect on PASCO's near sixty-year commitment to science education.
