Evaporative Cooling
Students use a temperature sensor to determine the evaporation rates of different compounds and use the Molecular Model Set to help relate differences in rates to molecular composition and intermolecular forces.
Supports NGSS Performance Expectation HS-PS1-3: Plan and conduct an investigation to gather evidence to compare the structure of substances at the bulk scale to infer the strength of electrical forces between particles.
