Product Summary
This Torsional Pendulum is an accessory for the Rotary Motion Sensor which, when combined with the Rotational Inertia Accessory (ME-3420), allows students to study the period of a torsional pendulum and determine the rotational inertia of the pendulum using the period.
To determine the torsional spring constant of the wire, students apply a torque to the pendulum using a force sensor pulling on a string wrapped around the 3-step pulley on the Rotary Motion Sensor.
