Set of four pendula (brass, plastic, wood, and aluminum) that are ideal for PASCO’s Photogate Head and Photogate Accessory in timing experiments.
See the Product Description for this item's included accessories.
See the Buying Guide for this item's required, recommended, and additional accessories.
Product Summary
The Photogate Pendulum Set is a unique set of four pendulums that have the same shape and size, but different masses. Due to their cylindrical shape, these pendulums are ideal for use in timing experiments with the photogate. One pendulum each of brass, plastic, wood, and aluminum is included.
Applications
- Determine relationship between period and mass
- Determine relationship between period and amplitude
- Determine relationship between period and length
What's Included
- 1x Brass pendulum
- 1x Aluminum pendulum
- 1x Plastic pendulum
- 1x Wood pendulum

Photogates, Fences, and Timers
Photogates, fences, and timers are a staple of every physics lab. We’ve developed two standalone photogates, as well as two software-dependent options with varying capabilities and applications. This page compares our products’ functions, applications, and connectivity to help you select the perfect fit for your lab.

Simple Pendulum
Students use a photogate and pendulum to determine the physical properties of a simple pendulum that affect its period, and then use their data to support a mathematical model relating period to pendulum arm length.
