Product Summary
The Dynamics Track End Stops are used with PASCO tracks to prevent carts from rolling off the track. One side of each end stop contains magnets to repel the magnetic bumper of a cart. The stud on top of each end stop can be used for attaching a string or a spring to the end stop.
Experiment Library
Perform the following experiments and more with the Dynamics Track End Stop (2 pack).
Visit PASCO's Experiment Library to view more activities.
Conservation of Mechanical Energy
Students use a Smart Cart and dynamics system to explore how the kinetic energy, gravitational potential energy, and total mechanical energy of a cart/earth system changes as the cart rolls down an inclined track.
Newton's Second Law
Students use a Smart Cart to determine the relationship between a system’s mass, acceleration, and the net force being applied to the system.
Newton's Third Law
In this lab, students will investigate how two Smart Carts exert forces on each other in different scenarios. Using force sensors on each cart, students will compare force measurements to better understand Newton's Third Law of...
Conservation of Momentum
Students use two Smart Carts and a dynamics system to demonstrate that linear momentum and kinetic energy are conserved in an elastic collision, and linear momentum is conserved but kinetic energy is not conserved in an inelastic...
Momentum and Impulse
Students use a Smart Cart and dynamics system to investigate the relationship between the change in momentum of a cart undergoing a collision and the impulse imparted to the cart to change its momentum, and then use their data...
Building Better Barriers
In this investigation, students explore collisions using a PASCO Smart Cart, which records forces during collisions. SPARKvue software is used for data collection and analysis. Students will design their own crash barriers to...
Newton's Second Law
In this lab, students use a motion sensor to determine the relationship between a system’s mass, acceleration, and the net force being applied to the system.
Graphing Motion
Students measure the position and velocity of a cart on a track to determine the relationship between position, velocity, and acceleration versus time graphs.
