Product Summary
The Beam Splitter is designed to be used with the Brewster’s Angle Accessory and the Educational Spectrophotometer System. Beam Splitter is included in the Brewster’s Angle Accessory.
It easily mounts to a PASCO Optics Bench and has two adjustment screws that allow you to change the angle of the mirror if needed.
It is an included component of the Brewster’s Angle experiments for both PASPORT and Science Workshop as well as the Brewster’s Angle Accessory.
How It Works
When light reflects off a nonconducting material, the reflected light is partially polarized. The amount of polarization depends on the incident angle and the index of refraction of the reflecting material. The incident angle that gives the maximum polarization is called Brewster’s angle.
