This lab manual includes 16 inquiry-based experiments that integrate with PASCO sensors to help prepare students for the AP® Chemistry exam.
See the Buying Guide for this item's required, recommended, and additional accessories.
Product Summary
This experiment guide covers the latest standards for College Board Advanced Placement Chemistry. Labs are based on the College Board Learning Objectives. Data Analysis and Assessment Questions are tasks designed to prepare students for the AP® Chemistry exam. The manual includes editable student handouts. Prepare your students for inquiry investigations with a multi-step model that includes:
- Initial investigations to test ideas
- Advanced investigations to explore the phenomena
- Extended inquiry investigations that explain conceptual nuances
- Synthesis and follow-up questions modeled after the AP® exam
Each lab includes teacher resources with pre-lab discussion and questions, procedural overview, teacher tips, sample data, assessment and synthesis questions and extended inquiry suggestions.
How-to videos are included with the manual, on the product page at PASCO.com and on PASCO's "How to" YouTube channel. These videos focus on setting up the labs and getting the most from your PASCO sensors and equipment.
Experiments by Equipment Kit
The Advanced Chemistry through Inquiry lab manual includes sixteen hands-on experiments that tackle concepts such as stoichiometry, reaction rates, and Le Châtelier’s principle. Eleven experiments can be performed using the Chemistry Starter Lab Station. The remaining five experiments also require the Chemistry Extension Lab Station.
